Service Times
Our telephone lines are open Monday to Friday from 8am to 6:30pm. Our new telephone system allows patients to get a callback without waiting in the queue. We hope this will help to resolve issues with the line engaged tone.
Our online appointment system, askmyGP, is available Monday to Friday from 8am until 2pm, except for the rare occasion that capacity has been met, in which case it will close a little earlier. Click below to check service times as they may vary around public holidays.

The Roxton Practice are always looking at ways to improve our systems. We are aware of continuing issues accessing appointments using askmyGP and phonelines.
From 15th April, we are introducing the following.
- AskmyGP will be open from 8am to 2pm
- A new telephone system which allows patients to get a callback without waiting in the queue. We hope this will also resolve issues with the line engaged tone.
We are hoping both these measures will make it easier for patients to access the help you need.
All requests for an appointment will be reviewed by a doctor and the most appropriate appointment made.
Appointments will be available the same day (if clinically appropriate) or pre-bookable (depending on availability).
The more information you give us, the more likely the most suitable appointment or advice is given.
We hope this will significantly improve our services and we will continue to monitor and improve our services for you.

The Roxton Practice will be closed on the following UK Bank Holidays.

Training Afternoons
On the third Thursday of every month the practice, along with all other practices in the area, will close from 1pm for a training afternoon.
askmyGp and our phone lines will be open from 8am as usual. However, once we have met capacity for that day or if you have an urgent medical concern from 1pm onwards, you will be required to call 01472 256256.
